This glass burette is a straight graduated tube with a PTFE stopcock allowing for the accurate dispensing of liquids for use in the lab.
The graduated marking along the cylindrical body are designed to give you pin point measurement of your desired liquid to the mL.
The tapered capillary tube at the base past the stopcock allows for a steady flow of fluid from the burette into you vessel of choice.
This burette features a PTFE stopcock for complete control, heat tolerance and non-reactivity. We also have glass stopcock burettes for specific arrangements where PTFE is not suitable for your application.
Burettes are typically considered less accurate than volumetric pipettes when not used to their full capacity(which is common). Burettes offer a greater level of control over your measuring, however especially at larger quantities.
In order at attain an accurate reading you must be at eye level to the top of the contained fluid and drain it down to your desired level. Please take into account hydroscopic effects and viscosity in your readings.
We highly recommend a stand set up to use your burette properly.
