Glass thimble with a fritted disc intended for use with Soxhlet Extractors. A long term cost effective option as they can be used over and over again and increase the quality fo the product you are able to achieve.

Soxhlet Extractors are used in the continuous, automated and un-monitored concentration of lipids and for the creation of tinctures as well as uses where a compound has limited solubility in a solvent to achieve greater concentrations of multiple flushes.

In short, soxhlet extractors allow for greater concentration and purity where it would be costly in time and resources to achieve.

This glass thimble will allow you to more densely pack your material and improve the amount you are able to process at a given time, as well as make your extractor easier to clear after you are finished.

The thimble is filled with a material and placed int eh extraction chamber whereas the flask is filled with solvent and heated. The vapor rises and is condenses in the included condenser, dripping back down onto the material. Once the extraction chamber is filler, and  auto-siphon drains the liquid back into the flask, where the process is repeated until the desired concentration is achieved, or until the material being extracted is spent.
