4-neck round bottom flask.

Highly practical laboratory flask that fills a large number of purposes in the lab – from boiling to storage.

The 4 necks greatly expand the potential uses of these flasks. Additional necks allow vacuum to be introduced, thermometer adapters to be inserted, or the introduction of additional processing factors such as cold fingers or stir bars.

A round bottom flask has such uses as:

• Heating of liquid
• Distillation
• Receiving flasks
• Containment of chemical reactions
• In rotary evaporators
• Storage flasks

The round bottoms on these flasks means a cork rings is required to hold them when they are in use. Alternatively Iron rings can also be used to support them on retort stands.

As these flasks have round bottoms, burners, double boilers or heating mantles are best suited to achieve a uniform heat.

All ground glass joints of these flasks are 3 * 24/29 and 1 * 14/19 unless otherwise specified (5000mL+). This makes it easy to fit into the rest of our range, giving you peace of mind that all of our equipment is cross compatible.

If a larger neck is present, an reducing adapter may be used to adapt it down to 24/29.

A round bottom flask is also suitable to be put under vacuum due to their uniform shape.

Alongside a glass stopper, these are suitable to use as storage flasks for culture and chemicals.
